What is the Egyptian Parachuting & Air Sports Federation (EPAF)?

  1. The Egyptian Parachuting & Air Sports Federation was established on March 17, 1988 as a sports entity in accordance with the Egyptian Constitution and the Egyptian Sports laws and the international federation (FAI) laws and the Egyptian Olympic Committee regulations.
  2. The Egyptian Parachuting & Air Sports Federation is a sports entity with an independent legal personality consisting of sports clubs and bodies. and it’s address at 16 El Nozha Street -Rabaa Buildings – Nasr City – Cairo Governorate.
  3. EPAF aims to spread the air sports, elevate, organize and coordinate activities among its members.
  4. The Egyptian Parachuting and Air Sports Federation is the only body responsible for managing air sports affairs inside the Arab Republic of Egypt in all technical, organizational, administrative and financial aspects.
  5. No Egyptian body, individual or entity has the right to practice air sports inside and outside Egypt except after written approval from of EPAF. Anyone who violates this shall bear civil and criminal liability in front of all official and unofficial authorities in Egypt.

6- The Egyptian Parachuting & Air Sports Federation (EPAF) has adjusted its situation and reorganized its structure following the issuance of the sports law promulgated by Law No. 71 / 2017; the statute of the Egyptian Parachuting and Air Sports Federation (EPAF) was then approved and published under No. (59)/ 2017.

Accordingly, the federation became subjected to Law No. 71/2017 and it is the solely Federation which is recognized as sports federation certified by the Egyptian Ministry of youth and sports under the umbrella and supervision of the Egyptian Olympic Committee,
And according to article (38), from the Egyptian sports law which states:
“The sports federation is a sports authority with a legal entity consisting of clubs and sports and youth bodies that have an activity in a said sport in order to organize and coordinate this activity between them, and work to spread the game and elevate its technical level.
The Federation alone is technically responsible for the affairs of this sport and raises its level in all bodies referred to within the rules set by the International Federation for this sport. So, the Egyptian Parachuting & Air Sports Federation (EPAF) is the solely sports entity which represents the air sports in the Arab Republic of Egypt.”

  1. Organizing (44) republican championships.

Continental & international activities:-

  1. Establishing The Arab Air Sports Federation in 1992.
  2. Establishing the African Air Sports Federation in 2006.
  3. Joining the Asian Air Sports Federation in 2005.
  4. Joining FAI (associated member) on 1/1/2008.
  5. Organizing The first Egyptian International Championship in May 2008.
  6. Organizing The Second Egypt International Championship in March 2016.
  7. Participating in (32) international skydiving championships.
